  • Core Drill • Electric Power System

    The Electric Power System to drill plugs in core sample is specially designated to be quick to set up and switch on. It is equipped with a robust motor and a metallic basin with a table completely manufactured to be easily powered up. The whole system allows a plugging operation using any fluids (Drilling mud, Kerosene, brine water,…) or air with all the safety requirements. It comes with a high viscosity pump (HV), a swivel, special supports for horizontal & Vertical plugging and a tray for a safe storage of the plug samples. A semi-automatic system is available on request.

  • Core Drill • Pneumatic Engine

    The pneumatic plugging solution is designed for processing in hazardous areas such as offshore operation. The compulsory motor is combined with a specific table that requires a minimum of 100 psi and 100 cfm (2300 l/min) to be correctly powered. Easy to setup, the pneumatic plugging is equipped with a general valve, an emergency button, connection to swivel (for fluid or air) and a pneumatic submersible pump. A semi-automatic system is available on request.

    The Top Face Plugging is made in steel and stainlees steel or galvanized (basin), its heavy weight guarantees a optimum stabilization and absorbs all the vibrations. The basin is resistant to at all types of fluid and equipped with flexible PVC plate to minimize the splash. Also an area is available on the table to put the tools. The Top Face Plugging is equipped with a pump, drill and general power and also with an emergency button to stop the plugging unit at any time.

  • Core Drill • Anti Stuck Drill bit

    The anti-Stuck drill bit model has been developed to protect the plug samples against mechanical damage due to an aggressive action caused when the sample remains blocked inside the drill bit. Faced with a technical problem which until today was a quite a dilemma, Geofactory innovates with a solution which maintains the integrity of the plug sample. The Kit DAF™ anti-Stuck is used as a normal drill bit but it saves time, does not damage the equipment and leaves the rock sample undisturbed.

    The Inner Drill Bench is designed in order to remove the inner tube (aluminiun, fiber glass) at the plugging point.  It offers the advantages that the rock sample is held on the bench, and the plugging machine is moved along the sample by means of a linear module provided with a hand wheel. This mobility allows one take a plug wherever necessary in all the core samples.

    The Plunge Cutter is required to precisely control the penetration of the plunger into the soft and unconsolidated formation. Built with a hydraulic system, Geofactory offers an innovative model that offers the advantage of extracting horizontal and vertical plug samples. The main frame is orientable on a range of 90°and the worktable is equipped with a core support adjustable on axis X,Y that holds core up to 3ft/ 1m and 6 ¾ in diameter. Joined, the auxiliary mobile worktable has enough surfaces to organize the handling operation using a Digital balance, Heat gun and the consumables necessary for a perfect preparation of the sample.

    The Trimming Saw is a tool adapted to trim the plugs after a plugging operation. It has been designed to cut up to 7 plugs in a double pass. The quality of the blade enables an excellent precision of the cut and the trim is recovered in a numbered cell. The tool is equipped with all the protections to guarantee safe handling and a recirculating coolant system for high viscosity fluid as drilling mud.

    The Dual-Axis is a type of saw essential in the field of core preparation in the laboratory. In fact, this tool is designed to receive core samples 4” in diameter and 50 cm long and using a rotating support that allows one to cut rock sample from an axis of 0° to 90° (slabbing & trimming). It offers the additional advantage that the core sample is moved to the diamond blade and cooled with a steerable hydraulic setup.

    Geofactory has designed a Slabbing saw 350 adapted for both the wellsite and laboratory environment. It offers the main advantage that the core sample is moved to the diamond blade and cooled with a steerable hydraulic setup. This system provides more sensitivity to the cut which is really essential particularly when biscuit slices are processed. Moving a manually mechanical crank, the operator can adjust with millimetric accuracy the diamond blade at the inner tube and cut it prior to a plugging or photography operation.

    The Slabbing saw 450 is adapted for wellsite and laboratory environment offers the main advantage that the core sample is mechanically moved to the diamond blade and cooled with steerable fluid setup. This safety system provides more sensitivity of the cut which is really essential particularly when biscuit slices are processed. The innovation of this instrument comes also from the regulator system of the height of the blade above the inner tube (Aluminium, Fiberglass). Moving a manually mechanical crank, the operator can adjust with millimetre accuracy the abrasive blade at the inner tube and cut it prior to plugging or photography operation.
