FAQS

Can this lapidary rock saw be used to cut all types of rocks?

Yes, the lapidary rock saw is designed to cut through various types of rocks, including hard materials like granite, which are commonly encountered in mineral exploration. Whether working with sedimentary, igneous, or metamorphic rocks, the diamond blade ensures precise and efficient cutting across these geological formations.

Can the lapidary rock saw be used for both wet and dry cutting?

The Mining Saw is optimized for wet cutting, which is particularly beneficial when working with hard rocks like granite and dense sedimentary formations in mineral exploration. The wet-cutting process enhances the lifespan of the diamond blade, reduces dust, and maintains optimal cooling when the blade operates at high rpm.

Is the lapidary rock saw portable enough for field use?

While the Mining Saw is robust and specifically designed for industrial use, its size and weight make it more suitable for stationary applications rather than portable fieldwork. However, in mineral exploration, particularly when cutting core samples from sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic rocks, its powerful 12HP motor operating at high rpm ensures it can efficiently handle large and demanding tasks.

What materials are used to construct the Mining Saw, and how does it ensure durability?

The Mining Saw is constructed from stainless steel, making it highly resistant to corrosion, which is essential for the demanding environments encountered in mineral exploration. Its powerful motor, operating at 2900 rpm, combined with a durable diamond blade, ensures reliable and long-lasting performance when cutting through various rock types, including granite and sandstone, found in sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic formations.
