What is the primary purpose of the Trimming Saw?

The Trimming Saw, also referred to as a lapidary rock saw, is specifically designed for precision cutting at the extremities of geological core samples post-plugging. It ensures high accuracy during sample preparation, making it ideal for petrofiscal analysis and mineralogical assessments in sectors like Oil & Gas, mining, and geotechnical research.

What features make the Trimming Saw suitable for geological applications?

The Trimming Saw features a diamond blade capable of slicing through both soft and hard rock formations with exceptional precision. Its recirculating coolant system prevents overheating and minimizes dust exposure, ensuring clean cuts and safer operation. An optional vacuum system is available for dry cutting requirements.

What safety features are included in the Trimming Saw?

The Trimming Saw is equipped with comprehensive safety measures, including a coolant system for dust control, protective blade guards, and an optional vacuum system for dry operations. Proper use of these features helps safeguard operators while maintaining clean workspaces.

Can the Trimming Saw handle different rock sizes and materials?

Yes, the Trimming Saw accommodates a wide range of core diameters and rock types, including soft sedimentary formations and harder igneous rocks. Its diamond blade is suitable for both plug trimming and full core cutting operations.

How can I purchase or receive technical support for the Trimming Saw?

To purchase the Trimming Saw or inquire about technical support, including blade replacements and maintenance services, please contact Geofactory directly. Our team offers specialized guidance for selecting the right tools for geological sample preparation.
